What We Provide

Our methodology follows the proven Discover, Activate, Deploy, and Run framework. To accelerate your journey, we also offer exclusive SAP TM Add-ons that extend system capabilities, reduce costs, and maximise value - empowering you to realise benefits faster.

1. Discover

Assess whether SAP TM meets your transportation and logistics needs, and define a clear project scope.

To do this, we'll:

  • Assess current transportation processes: How are shipments planned, tracked, and costed today?
  • Identify pain points (manual planning, limited visibility, high costs).
  • Understand SAP TM capabilities:

    • Transportation planning and execution
    • Freight order management
    • Carrier collaboration
    • Freight costing and settlement
  • Decide deployment option: Basic Shipping (embedded in S/4HANA)or Advanced TM (sidecar or decentralised).
  • Build a business case and estimate ROI.

By the end, you'll have:

  • A Business case and project proposal
  • A High-level roadmap and scope
  • Architecture decisions (e.g., embedded vs. decentralised TM)

2. Activate

Design and build a working SAP TM solution tailored to business requirements using standard content and best practices.

To do this, we'll:

  • Use SAP Best Practices for TM as a starting point.
  • Design transportation networks: lanes, zones, carrier master data.
  • Configure:

    • Freight Units (FU) and Freight Orders (FO)
    • Planning strategies (manual, optimizer-based)
    • Carrier selection and tendering
    • Charge management and settlement
  • Integrate with:

    • SAP EWM/SAP S/4HANA SD/MM (for order data)
    • Third-party logistics systems (e.g., for GPS, tracking)
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and design custom developments if needed.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct key user training.
  • Execute testing: unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

By the end, you'll have:

  • A Configured and tested SAP TM system
  • Functional and technical specs
  • Trained key users

3. Deploy

Transition the transportation processes into the live SAP TM environment.

To this, we'll:

  • Finalise master and transaction data migration (e.g., open transport requests, carrier master).
  • Execute cutover plan (e.g., stop planning in legacy, start in TM).
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Finalise authorisation roles and security.
  • Monitor data replication and interfaces with S/4HANA or other systems.
  • Prepare for hyper-care (post-go-live support).

By the end, you'll have:

  • A Go-live checklist
  • Transport processes operational in SAP TM
  • Initial performance and issue monitoring set up

4. Run

Stabilise and improve operations, ensuring SAP TM delivers the expected value.

To do this, we'll:

  • Monitor key metrics (e.g., freight cost savings, carrier performance).
  • Support operations (e.g., planners, freight settlement teams).
  • Resolve post-go-live issues.
  • Optimize processes:

    • Automate tendering
    • Enable real-time tracking
    • Improve cost simulation and analytics
  • Plan for enhancements (e.g., mobile access, third-party carrier integration via APIs).

By the end, you'll have:

  • Stabilised, optimised TM operations
  • Ongoing support and an improvement roadmap
  • Lessons learned and KPIs tracking
